Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

If you are making a Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween, then make use of the seeds by turning them into a delicious snack. They taste just like popcorn, only much healthier, and are great for movie nibbles. If you use LoSalt , it is much better for you because it has less sodium.

Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Makes: 3 servings

Ingredients
Pumpkin
LoSalt (to taste)

Method

Cut the top off the pumpkin.

Scoop out all the innards and separate the pulp from the seeds.

Put the seeds in a sieve and wash them clean with water.

Wrap the seeds in paper towels to dry them off.

Put the seeds in an oven proof tray and sprinkle with salt to taste.

Cook under the grill for about five minutes, or until they start to brown.
