Ingredients 300g Pasta (I used Fusilli)
4 cloves of Garlic
1 Can of diced tomatos
50g Salami (or any other ham or bacon)
Ground black pepper
Italian Herbs (Optional)
Chilli Flakes (Optional)
Boil water and cook pasta per packet instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside
While the pasta is cooking, you can prepare the other ingredients.
Slice or dice the onion, mince the garlic, slice or dice the salami.
Heat deep pan or work. Add in salami and stirfry. As the salami already contains oil, there is no need to add extra oil into the pan.
Add onions and garlic into the pan already with the salami and stirfry.
Add in the can of diced tomatoes, add tomato paste
Mix well, keep on medium to high heat
Season with sugar and black pepper. Add any herbs or chilli flakes if desired. Taste and adjust seasoning as required. Note that I haven't included salt in the ingredients, as you can get the saltiness from the salami (and cheese if you choose to add cheese).
When you are happy with the flavours, add in the cooked pasta and mix through.
Dish up pasta and sprinkle with cheese to serve if desired.
