In the autumn I collect sloes to make sloe gin and it's ready just in time for Christmas. The dark red colour looks great in a little bottle and it's a tasty tipple alternative to baked goods. Sloe Gin Recipe

If you're cooking with kids there are lots of ideas on MyKidCraft. Why not try some Pink Coconut Ice
Sloe gin is a great idea. I loved your article on this. I'd like to try bramble vodka as well, I think that would look lovely as a gift.
This year I am going to make my own chocolates like these robot ones but I'll use a Christmas-themed silicon mould instead.

Last year my young step sister found a how to on making sleighs out of fun size chocolate bars and candy canes. We used a kit kat for the base and built the seat out of mini mars bars, smarties boxes and other mini chocolate bars and put the candy canes on as the skis. We used mini Santa chocolates to out in the sleigh. They looked great and were really fun to make with her and my young boys. They would be great as gifts to friends with kids and school friends.
Shortbread is a classic Christmas biscuit, but if you want to do something special, why not try making Stollen? It is a German cake made with marzipan and fruit.
Shaped gingerbread cookies! I pull out all of my cookie cutter shapes - stars, bells, trees, deer and santa faces - to make fun gingerbread cookies, and then decorate them with coloured icing.
Macadamia Panforte is a traditional Italian Christmas treat with an Aussie twist - you can prepare it ahead of time as it will keep for months, and it makes a perfect gift for mums and aunties etc.

My partner's side of the family is gluten-free so I score a lot of points with my cranberry and pistachio biscotti.
The GF flour actually works really well in biscotti and the red cranberries and green pistachios make them very pretty and seasonal.

Stash them in a basket lined with rough calico and garnished with holly, never fails to please.
Where is recipe for these christmas trees pllease?
