I'm sick of throwing a few strawberries in my cereal or spooning out half a grapefruit. What are some new and fun ways to add fruit to breakfast time?

How about making fruit smoothie and trying lots of different fruit combinations. There are lots of great ideas on this website.

Tomatoes are technicall a fruit. You could cut them in half, grill them and add them to a cooked breakfast at the weekend for a treat.

Pancakes with fruit cooked into the mixture are also great at delivering a flavour burst.
Put them in the frying pan with some honey.

Stew blackberries and have them with waffles.

Mash a banana with peanut butter and spread it on toast.

Mix a mashed banana with flour and caramel and cook it in the oven - it will turn into a type of bread.
My boys love toast with cream cheese and slices of pear.. you could use any sliced fruit of your choice like apple or banana....
Try mixing grated apple in with muesli and a splash of orange juice! Top with yoghurt and berries and you're away.
I agree with Claire - fruit smoothies are an excellent way to enjoy fruits in the most delicious manner possible. I've tried strawberry+melon, banana+strawberry+melon, strawberry+kiwi and banana+passionfruit combos and they have all turned out amazing.

And the best part is that you can enjoy it whether you're at home or on the go!
I'm a big fan of breakfast smoothies - when you combine fresh fruit with nuts and water or milk, you get a light, nutritious start to the day. On top of the health benefits from the fruit, the nuts provide protein and essential omega fatty acids which help fuel your body for the day ahead.

A couple of my favourite smoothie combinations are Banana and Peanut Butter, and Blueberry Bliss.
I mix small pieces of fruits with sugar or honey and leave them to marinate overnight. Then I use them for breakfast in place of jam.
Fruit salad would be a nice choice for breakfast, too
Only Summer cereal I eat is Rice Bubbles. I love on them any of the following............
Sliced Banana
Fresh Figs
Pitted Prunes
Tinned or Fresh Peaches
Ditto Apricots
Ditto Pears.

Winter is ONLY 'Uncle Toby's Oats' cooked overnight on Low 'Crock-Pot' setting with milk. So creamy & smooth come breakfast-time, then serve with Thickened Cream & Brown Sugar OR Maple Syrup.

Hope these give you some inspirations, dgrwriting! Cheers!
