Sheridan has been writing for RecipeYum for over a year now, and has been sharing her vegan journey with us in each of her recipes.
She specialises in vegan dishes, and is committed to exploring the infinite possibilities in a vegan kitchen, proving that eating ethically can be creative and fun. She loves taking non-vegan recipes and creating something unique and daring.
“I strive to demonstrate that eating ethically isn't boring or bland, but rather the opposite,” she says.
“When I tell people I am vegan every response is 'what do you eat?!', but in fact it doesn't limit your options of food — it widens them. I want to inspire others to create delicious culinary combinations that they never would have dreamed of, without the need for any animal products.”
As a newbie to food and recipe writing, Sheridan turned to various vegan food bloggers online for inspiration. Since then, she has experimented with all different kinds of recipes, both others and her own alike, and her winning Chocolate Mousse Cake was a product of this experimentation.
“My Chocolate Mousse cake is my go-to cake. It is super easy to make, and is always a crowd pleaser. Based off my chocolate mousse tarts, it is dairy-and-egg-free, and very easy to make gluten-free; almost everyone can eat it. With the chocolate, vanilla and hints of coconut, it tastes like an Australian favourite, the Lamington.”
