Abbey Biscuits

Abbey Biscuits

Posted 2014-04-14 by Bastion Harrisonfollow

So named because they were made by the monks of Furness Abbey, abbey biscuits contain oats, and were therefore a stable part of their diet. It was one treat they could have that would not be considered a sin. Based on the brands I used, each biscuit is about 53 calories.

Wait for them to cool for a crunchy biscuit, or eat them warm from the oven and they taste just like a sweetened porridge.
