Arabic Spiced Bream Bake

Falling off the bone, tender fish is one of my great loves. Meaty, yet tender fish can be hard to cook let alone cook well with the right kind of seasoning to make the fish sing. Here is an Arabic-spiced recipe for my favourite kind of fish: bream. If you like salmon or cod, you will love this.

Preparation Time: Overnight
Cooking Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
Makes: 3 servings

5 pieces of bream
1 yellow pepper
1 red pepper
3 garlic cloves
Half tsp ground black pepper
Half tsp cumin
Handful fresh thyme leaves
1 head of fresh spinach
Half a lemon
Tsp mixed spice

Required ingredients

Add the fish and all of the seasoning to a pyrex dish.

Cover with clingfilm and marinate for 8 hours/overnight.

Once marinated, remove the clingfilm and place in the oven for an hour and ten minutes at 170 degrees/gas mark 4.

Slice the peppers into chunks and crush the garlic using the back of a knife.

After 45 minutes add the peppers and garlic to the dish and place back in the oven.

Remove the fish from the oven.

Add the spinach and kale to a plate.

Top with the fish.
