Baked Burritos

These burritos are quick and easy to make, require only five ingredients and are really tasty. A great week night meal that is on the table in under an hour.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: approx 20 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
500g beef mince
Jar of your favourite pasta sauce
Packet of flour Tortillas
Small bottle of cream
Grated Cheese


Method
  • Add one tablespoon of oil to the pan
  • Add mince, break it up with a wooden spoon and brown
  • Add pasta sauce and simmer, lid off, until liquid reduces



  • Place a tortilla on work surface and spoon meat mixture along the centre, leaving a little room at each end



  • Roll tortilla up and place in baking dish

  • Repeat with all tortillas, until meat is used up



  • Pour cream over the tortillas and then top with cheese



  • Bake in oven for approx 20 minutes or until cheese is golden brown



  • Serve with a salad or baked vegies of your choice.


    You can fill these tortillas with anything that takes your fancy. For a Mexican version, use taco seasoning instead of pasta sauce. Or you could make a white sauce and use salmon and asparagus, chicken and corn, avocado, chicken and Brie - the list goes on!
