Baked Tamari Hoki Fillets

This quick and easy baked fish dish combines fresh citrus flavours with the rich and salty blend of tamari sauce. The Hoki is light, slightly sweet and moist and holds it’s own against the marinade. Baking the fillets ensures every mouthful melts in your mouth.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 2 servings

2 Hoki Fish Fillets (or any white flesh fish such as Barramundi or John Dory)

Hoki Fish Fillets are a light, slightly sweet and moist fish - perfect for baking.

6 Tablespoons of Tamari (alternative to Wheat based Soy Sauce)
Juice of one Orange
Juice of one lime
Black pepper
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
Handful Fresh Basil Leaves

Combine the marinade ingredients into a small bowl.

Lay the Hoki fillets into a baking dish and cover with the marinade sauce. Refrigerate for 10-15-minutes.

Marinade the Hoki fillets for approximately 10-15 minutes prior to baking the fish.

Place the fish into a pre-heated 160 degree oven and cook for 8-10 minutes.

Remove the basil leaves and serve fish immediately with a drizzle of the marinade sauce and a salad such as this Cypriot Quinoa Salad.
