Banana and Cream Cheese Low Fat Bliss Balls

These are another recipe I have made with little added sugar. I tried working out the calories based on the product and they appear to be about 50 calories, depending of course on their size.

They are moreish, and difficult to stop eating, though they are quite rich and filling, so you eat less!

Preparation Time: 20 minutes plus 10 minutes freezer time
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Serves: About 20 balls

Ingredients
2 bananas, mashed
100 g cream cheese (you could use low fat)
1 tbsp honey
Bit of cinnamon, to taste
2 cups of rolled oats
1 tsp coconut oil
Walnuts, crushed, for rolling in

Method
  • Mash the bananas.

  • Add the cream cheese, honey, coconut oil, and cinnamon.
  • Do not worry if the banana is not totally mashed at this stage

  • Mix well to combine.

  • Put the oats and this mixture in a food processor, or blender and process until it is completely combined.

  • Put the mixture into the freezer for about 10 minutes so that it is firm.

  • Roll about 1 large teaspoon of the mixture into balls, and then roll each one in the crushed walnuts.

  • I also rolled some of them in crushed almonds.

  • Store in the fridge or freezer.
