Battered Prawns with Sesame Seeds
These battered prawns are a lovely seafood treat that fit perfectly with a seafood lunch or dinner.

Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients
1 cup cornflour
1/2 cup self raising flour
1 3/4 cups iced water
600g of prawns
Sesame seeds
Method
Combine the cornflour and self raising flour in a bowl.
Add the water and stir to combine. Set this aside for 10-15 minutes.
Dust each prawn with a light coating of flour, then dunk them into the batter,
Heat oil in a deep saucepan over high heat until the oil is hot. Deep fry the prawn in batches for about 3 minutes or until they are puffed up and golden.
Place each prawn on absorbent paper to drain the excess oil.
Serve immediately with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
