Beef Capsicum Stirfry

This is an easy and delicious dish I like preparing because it's so versatile; you can add any vegetables you like. I usually use capsicum because it goes so well with beef. Serve over with rice.


Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
500g beef, sliced into thin strips
4 capsicum
8 button mushrooms
1 medium onion
5 garlic cloves
Oyster sauce
Soy sauce
Cooking wine
Cornflour
Salt and pepper
Cooking oil


Method
  • Marinade the beef with some oyster sauce, soy sauce, cooking wine and cornflour, just enough to coat them. Leave aside
  • Prepare vegetables. Chop onion and garlic finely.
  • Cut the capsicum into thin strips and chop the mushrooms.


  • Heat oil in pan and cook onion and garlic until they change colour.
  • Then add the meat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.


  • Stir in the capsicum and mushroom.
  • Blend some oyster sauce with some water and cornflour. Return to the pan.
  • Season with salt and pepper.


  • Cook for a few minutes.
  • Serve with rice (I have serve mine with coconut rice).
