Best BBQ Baby Back Ribs
Here is a recipe that I came up with years ago. It is great for grilling out and you can make it the day before you plan to serve it.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 4 hours
Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients
1.4 kgs Baby Back Pork Ribs (Cut into serving size pieces)
Beef Broth (Enough to cover ribs in pot)
3 Bay Leaves
1 Sweet Onion, Quartered
1 Small Apple, Peeled and Sliced
3 Garlic Cloves, Put Through Garlic Press
1 Jar of Your Favorite BBQ Sauce (I prefer "Two Fat Guys."
Method
In a large 4 quart pot, combine ribs, beef stock, bay leaves, onion, garlic, and apple.
Bring to boil, then reduce heat and cover. Allow to simmer for about 4 to 6 hours.
Remove from heat and allow to cool for about an hour before carefully removing ribs (you don't want them to fall apart) and place them on a platter. Cover the platter with tin foil and allow to chill in the refrigerator overnight or at least 6 hours.
Fire up the grill or broiler, brush ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce, grill for about 3 minutes per side flipping and applying sauce each time until done.
BONUS - Freeze and save the broth to make soup.
