Bircher Muesli
The original breakfast muesli was invented by and named agter Maximilian Bircher-Benner. The Swiss physician made it for his patients, but it is now a breakfast staple. Today muesli has developed into a type of cereal we have with milk, straight from a box. The early 20th century version, however, was soaked in water with apple and yoghurt, and left over night.
