Ingredients 55 g traditional rolled oats
¾ cup almond milk, or milk with almond essence in it
1 tbsp maple syrup
½ small pear, grated
About 65 g blueberries
½ tbsp poppy seeds
Pecans, chopped - to serve (optional)
Other fruit - to serve (optional)
Sliced pear - to serve (optional)
Maple syrup - to serve (optional)
Put the oats, almond milk, maple syrup, pear, blueberries and poppy seeds into a small bowl.
Mix until it is all combined, cover and put in the fridge overnight.
When you are ready to eat breakfast, stir it, and add any fruit you wish on the top.
I can't eat rolled oats, but my husband can, so I can make it for him, but I can eat my fruit with rice flakes, which I cook up like porridge EVERY morning for my breakfast (from the Coles/Woolies health section,) which I cook up the same way as I make the porridge..Chai seeds I think may also be nice with this, if one doesn't have any poppy seeds.
