Boiled Lobster Tails & Salad

Lobsters are hard to make and even harder to find. I was fortunate enough to find these gorgeous lobster tails in the Central Market for a bargain of $60.

This is a hearty dish that is bound to be a favourite with seasoned as well as novice eaters of this exquisite seafood.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 5-10 minutes
Makes: 2 servings

2 whole lobster tails
1 capsicum
2 spring onions
1 floret broccoli
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 lemon
1/2 cup of butter
Garlic Salt seasoning

Boil around 2 - 2.5 litres of water in a large pot.

Prepare the lobsters by placing a skewer through the tails.

While the water is boiling, chop up the vegetables into little pieces.

Once the water is simmering, place the skewered lobsters into the pot.

Let the lobsters cook in boiling water for about 6 minutes or till the shell turns red.

While the lobsters are cooking, steam a floret of broccoli in a steamer for a couple of minutes.

Take the lobsters out of the water. Place them on a bed of lettuce.

In a little cup, mix butter, lemon and Garlic Steak seasoning together to make a dipping sauce for the lobster.

Serve the lobster on a bed of rice, along with the vegetables (steamed and fresh).
