Caramel Apple treats
Preparation Time: 10 minutes (plus time setting in the fridge)
Cooking Time: 30 - 40 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients
4 small apples
4 sticks or skewers
Caramel Sauce
400 grams tin of condensed milk
1 cup caster sugar
50 grams unsalted butter
1 cup thickened cream

Ingredients for the Caramel sauce
Method
Select four apples and carefully insert a stick or skewer into the top of each one.

Insert the skewer into the apples
Prepare the caramel sauce: In one medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter and add the thickened cream, caster sugar, and condensed milk. Stir continuously until all the ingredients combine, being mindful of the sauce catching on the bottom. Simmer for 30 minutes, when the sauce should begin to thicken. Continue stirring until the sauce carmelises.

Dip the apple into the caramel sauce
Dip the apples into the warm caramel sauce, one by one.
Place the apples onto a tray and allow them to "set" in the fridge for 2 - 3 hours, when they will be ready to eat.
Word of warning - these Caramel Apples are so delicious it will be difficult to stop at just one. Enjoy.
