Caribbean Carrot Juice

My Nan's 'carrot juice' is a favourite in our family. It's not your typical, plain old carrot juice, but a traditional Caribbean recipe that will as my Nan say "put hairs on your chest..."

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Makes: 10 servings

Ingredients
2 bunches (at least 16 carrots) of fresh (ideally organic) carrots
1 can of carnation milk (evaporated milk)
1 can of Guinness

Method

  • Peel and chop the carrots, and pass through a juicer.

  • Transfer to a blender along with half a can of carnation milk and half a can of Guinness.

  • Give it a try, if you like it sweeter add the rest of the carnation milk, if you prefer a bitter taste add more Guinness.

  • Once blended pour into a large jug and keep in the fridge.

  • It keeps for about a week so if you have friends/family coming round then whip up a batch and keep refrigerated until the're due.
