Cheats Caramel Tarts

These caramel tarts taste as good as any store bought version, and are so easy to just whip up. Enjoy.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes approx.
Makes: 21 tarts

Ingredients
1 tin of caramel top n fill (380g tin)
1 packet butternut snap biscuits (250g packet)



Method

  • Pre-heat oven to 220°C

  • Place the biscuits in a cupcake tray and place in the oven for 5 mins or until soft enough to mould



  • While the biscuits are in the oven, prepare the caramel.



  • Stir the caramel until it is a smooth consistency.


  • Remove the biscuits from the oven and while they are hot, press them into the mould of the cupcake tray.



  • This is what the tart shell looks like (right) compared with a regular biscuit (left).



  • Take a teaspoonful of the caramel and fill the tart shell.



  • Now you can add any toppings - whipped cream, chocolate, coconut or just leave them plain.



  • Enjoy!

  • (These keep in the refrigerator for up to a week)
