Cheese and Tomato Melts

Delicious hot melts, some with tomato some without

Preparation Time: 2 minutes
Cooking Time: 2-3 minutes
Makes: 15

Butter is optional. Butter was spread as requested by the kids

1 Packet of Sliced Cheddar Cheese
1 Tomato
1 Standard Baguette Stick
1 Packet of Pepper
Optional: Butter to spread onto he bread if you wish for added taste.

Some pre-cooked melts on the grill almost ready to cook

Slice the bread into the size of almost half a sandwich 15 times.
Finely slice the tomato pieces, and place one slice on each slice of bread, inside side up. Note: to mix things up, it is okay to leave out tomato on some of the melts, especially if catering for the whole family at the same time.
Place the cheese on each slice of bread, ensuring that the cheese fits perfectly inside the outside crust.
Sprinkle a tiny dash of pepper. If you love pepper, feel free to include more. You do not necessarily want the pepper to overpower the cheese and tomato taste.
Pre-heat the grill to 250 degrees celsius. Place the pre-cooked melts (cheese side up) into the grill and cook for roughly 2-3 minutes and serve. Remember to insert and remove the melts with tongs.
