Cheesy Monkey Bread
Crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, this monkey bread is made all the more indulgent topped with melted cheese, and tastes best after just coming out the oven.

Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Serves: 15-20
Ingredients
225g butter
175g milk
750g white bread flour
200g cheddar cheese
4 eggs
1 tsp garlic granules
1 tsp dried chives
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp oregano
½ tsp salt
7g fast action yeast
Method
Gently heat the milk with 100g butter until it has melted.
Mix together the flour, basil, oregano, salt, and yeast, and create a well in the middle.
Beat the eggs and pour into the well.
Gradually add the milk/melted butter, mixing it together as you go to create a dough.
Knead for 15 minutes and then prove for 2 hours.
Roll out the dough.
Grate the cheese and spread half over the dough.
Roll up the dough again and then divide into 19 balls.
Layer the dough balls in a greased 18cm cake tin and allow to prove for another 2 hours.
Bake for 35 minutes in an oven pre-heated to 200 & #3872 ;C/ 180 & #3872 ;C fan/350& #3872 ;F/6 Gas.
Melt 125g butter and mix in the thyme, parsley, chives, and garlic granules.
Pour the melted butter over the bread and scatter the remaining cheese on top.
Bake in the oven for another 10 minutes.
