Chickpea Patties
Healthy protein patties, for immunity and great taste! They would be nice for a hot breakfast. If using dry chickpeas, soak them overnight.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
1 brown onion
1 clove garlic
1 small tomato
1 egg
1/4 cup wholemeal flour
1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1 cup soaked chickpeas
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Method
Boil chickpeas on the stove top for 35 minutes
Cut up onion, garlic and tomato in to fine pieces
Blend chickpeas and olive oil
Mix flour, egg, garlic, onion and tomato in a bowl with curry powder and chickpeas
Place baking paper on a baking tray and mold mixture into cookie shapes (or any shape you like)
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown
