Chocolate-Chip Biscuits

I've had problems with this recipe with regards to the condensed milk, every time I make these biscuits I end up wasting half a tin of condensed milk, so I try to double the ingredients to try and avoid wastage. However, this time I'm certain I added too much cooking chocolate to the recipe so the biscuits are darker than usual in appearance and taste very chocolaty. A standard 200 gm pack of cooking chocolate should be fine. I also only cooked my biscuits for 10 minutes and they turned out fine (internal oven temperatures may vary).

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 30 servings

125 gms of butter, cut into cubes
1/3 cup (80 gms) caster sugar
2 tablespoons of condensed milk
1 cup (150 gms) of self-raising flour
125 gms of dark cooking, chopped

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease or line a tray with baking paper
Using electric beaters, combine the butter, sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl until light and creamy.

Add the condensed milk and mix well.

Fold the flour and chocolate into the butter mixture

Drop tablespoons of the mixture onto the baking tray, allow room for spreading. Bake for 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and leave to cool on wire-rack for 10 minutes. Store in an air tight container for up to 4 days.
