Chocolate Coffee Bliss Balls

I am such a sucker for a good bliss ball and I love trying out different flavours. Just two of these chocolate and coffee bliss balls make the perfect afternoon or morning tea paired alongside a strong black coffee or even a milky tea.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 28

Ingredients
16 dates
2 shots espresso
2 tbs cacao powder
½ cup coconut
2 tbs coconut oil
1 cup almonds
1 cup almond meal
1 tsp vanilla paste
¼ cup sunflower seeds
1 tsp cinnamon

Method
  • Place all ingredients except for the sunflower seeds into the blender and blend until smooth. The mixture should be sticky. Add more almond meal if the mix is too sticky or more coconut oil if it is too dry.
  • Add the sunflower seeds and pulse for a few seconds. You just want to mix them through leaving them mostly whole or half sized for texture.

  • Once combined take a large scoop of the mixture with a teaspoon and roll the mixture into bite sized balls. Set a side on a plate and repeat with the rest of the mixture.
  • The balls can be left 'naked' or rolled in cacao, seeds, nuts or coconut.

  • Store in the fridge.
