Chocolate Rum Balls

Two of the best ingredients in one dessert?

Chocolate AND alcohol?

Yes, please!

This is a great Christmas recipe that is bound to keep the family in good spirits.

Preparation Time: 40 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Makes: 20 servings

90gm icing sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon coffee
1 tablespoon dark rum
60gm chocolate biscuits
75gm copha
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 cup condensed milk
Chocolate sprinkles

Melt the copha until it's a clear liquid.

Sift the icing sugar, cocoa and coffee into a large bowl.

Crush the chocolate biscuits using a blender, until they are finely powdered.

In another bowl, mix the dark rum, vanilla essence and cooled copha together.

Add this liquid mixture to the cocoa-coffee-icing sugar mix.

Add the condensed milk into the mixture and fold over each other until you obtain a fairly smooth consistency.

Place this mixture in the fridge and let it cool down for about 30 minutes.

Roll small amounts of the mixture into little balls.

Coat the balls in chocolate sprinkles by rolling the balls in a small bowl filled with chocolate sprinkles.

Serve cold and enjoy.
