Crispy Fish Goujons & Homemade Chips

A family pleaser.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Fish & Chips
700g flake fillets
1 cup of bread crumbs
1 egg
6 medium potatos
Olive oil
Pepper & salt

Butter Sauce
60g melted butter
Fresh parsely
Fresh mint
1/4 tsp crushed garlic

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.
Peel the potatos and slice them into thick chips.
Arrange on a tray and put into the oven for about 30-40 mins (depending on the strength of your oven)
While your chips are cooking, prepare your fish goujons.
Cut your flake into small strips.
Into a bowl whisk an egg and into another bowl pour your bread crumbs.
Dip your goujons into the egg and then coat with the bread crumbs.
Put the goujons aside until the chips are nearly ready.
To prepare your butter sauce put the garlic and butter into the microwave until melted.
Roughly cut the herbs and add to the butter.
To cook your goujons either cook in oil on the bbq or shallow fry in a frypan.
The goujons will only need a couple of minutes on each side before they are cooked. Once the crumbs are golden brown, flip.

When the chips come out of the oven, season with salt.
Rest the cooked goujons on some paper towel and then serve.
Drizzle the fish with the butter sauce.
