Crunchy Hazelnut Balls
These are something I just came up with tonight. Delicious balls made of hazelnut spread and other yummy ingredients. You can use Nutella, but I really like using the Kraft Crunchy Hazelnut Spread as it makes it easier to make because I don't have to chop nuts. Simple made with one bowl, no processor required.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Makes: 6 balls
Ingredients
2 heaped dessert spoons of Kraft crunchy hazelnut spread
3 tablespoons of ground LSA (Linseed, sunflower and almond)
1 and a half teaspoons of white chia seeds
2 tablespoons of coconut oil melted
4 dates pitted
1/2 teaspoon of desiccated coconut
Method
First cut the dates into 6 small pieces and add to a mug with some boiling water to cover the dates and soak them for 1-2 minutes to soften.
Dates should be about this big
In a bowl add hazelnut spread, LSA, chia seeds and coconut oil.
Drain the dates and add to the bowl.
Mix all ingredients together until a thick mixture has formed.
If it seems a little wet, add in an extra tablespoon of LSA to fix this.
Mixture should look like this
Roll into balls and place in the fridge to chill for about 15 minutes.
Balls ready to go into the fridge, still slightly soft
When chilled place on a plate and sprinkle over the coconut and serve immediately.
Alternivately you can get extra coconut and roll the balls in the coconut.
