Crunchy Hazelnut Balls

Crunchy Hazelnut Balls

These are something I just came up with tonight. Delicious balls made of hazelnut spread and other yummy ingredients. You can use Nutella, but I really like using the Kraft Crunchy Hazelnut Spread as it makes it easier to make because I don't have to chop nuts. Simple made with one bowl, no processor required.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Makes: 6 balls

Ingredients
2 heaped dessert spoons of Kraft crunchy hazelnut spread
3 tablespoons of ground LSA (Linseed, sunflower and almond)
1 and a half teaspoons of white chia seeds
2 tablespoons of coconut oil melted
4 dates pitted
1/2 teaspoon of desiccated coconut

Method
  • First cut the dates into 6 small pieces and add to a mug with some boiling water to cover the dates and soak them for 1-2 minutes to soften.

  • Dates should be about this big

  • In a bowl add hazelnut spread, LSA, chia seeds and coconut oil.
  • Drain the dates and add to the bowl.
  • Mix all ingredients together until a thick mixture has formed.
  • If it seems a little wet, add in an extra tablespoon of LSA to fix this.

  • Mixture should look like this

  • Roll into balls and place in the fridge to chill for about 15 minutes.

  • Balls ready to go into the fridge, still slightly soft

  • When chilled place on a plate and sprinkle over the coconut and serve immediately.
  • Alternivately you can get extra coconut and roll the balls in the coconut.

  • Quality ingredients go into my recipes
