Dessert Wontons

Here's a dessert that will impress your friends, but be careful, they are so delicious you might not want to share. We've kept the number of servings small (to avoid blowing the diet) but it can quickly and easily be expanded - just up the number of wonton skins and fillings. Simple!

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
4 square wonton skins
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp salted caramel sauce
1 tsp Dutch windmill cookies crushed (or gingerbread as a replacement)
1 tsp nutella
1 tsp blueberry jam
1 tsp choc chips
1 tsp chopped fruit chocs
1 shallow dish of water
Double cream to serve

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  • Line a tray with baking paper and space out the wonton skins evenly.

  • Place fillings into the centre of each wonton - and be as creative as you like. Our favourite combination is the salted caramel sauce with crushed windmill cookies. Other combinations included blueberry jam with choc chips, nutella and chopped fruit chocs. Chopped strawberry and banana also go well, especially with the choc chips.





  • Dip your finger into the water and wet the outer edges of the wonton skins so they are ready to form a parcel. There are multiple ways to fold them, the easiest being to pull one corner straight down to meet the opposite corner and flattening the two edges to form a triangle. You can also pull each corner up to the middle and press the edges together, or bunch just below the edges and create a money bag.   • Drip or brush the melted butter onto the top of each wonton. Place in the oven and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until light brown.



  • Remove and serve while hot with a dollop of cream.
