Dry Gobi Manjurian - Cauliflower Fry

Fry in oil until golden brown

This is one of the best appetizer, snack or main dish that I make. This is an Indian Chinese appetizer. Gobi manjurian is very easy to make and is super delicious.

Preparation Time: 3 hours
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

20 cauliflower florets
3 tbsp corn flour
1/2 cup plain flour
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp lemon juice
2/3 - 3/4 cup water
Oil for frying
Salt to taste

Add plain flour and corn flour into bowl. Add ginger and garlic paste into it.

To this add chilli powder, salt and lemon juice.

Then add water and mix well to form a very loose batter.

Add cauliflower florets into the batter. Mix well to combine.

Cover and let the cauliflower soak in batter for 3 hours.

After 3 hours, heat oil in a vessel. The oil should not be too hot. Add the soaked florets one by one into the oil and fry on medium heat for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Fry in oil until golden brown

Remove from oil and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

The crunchy gobi manjurian is ready. Serve warm with sauce.
