Dry Gobi Manjurian Cauliflower Fry

This is one of the best appetizer, snack or main dish that I make. This is an Indian Chinese appetizer. Gobi manjurian is very easy to make and is super delicious.

Preparation Time: 3 hours
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
20 cauliflower florets
3 tbsp corn flour
1/2 cup plain flour
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp lemon juice
2/3 - 3/4 cup water
Oil for frying
Salt to taste

Method
  • Add plain flour and corn flour into bowl. Add ginger and garlic paste into it.



  • To this add chilli powder, salt and lemon juice.

  • Then add water and mix well to form a very loose batter.

  • Add cauliflower florets into the batter. Mix well to combine.

  • Cover and let the cauliflower soak in batter for 3 hours.

  • After 3 hours, heat oil in a vessel. The oil should not be too hot. Add the soaked florets one by one into the oil and fry on medium heat for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Remove from oil and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

  • The crunchy gobi manjurian is ready. Serve warm with sauce.
