Although this only took a few minutes to make, it was delicious!
I teamed the prawns with rock-melon and served them with the dip in the middle instead of in the usual dish that prawn cocktail is served in.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Serves: 2 as entre or 1 as main
Ingredients
Cooked prawns
Tomato sauce
Tabasco sauce
Worcestershire sauce
Slices of rock-melon
Method
You can either make these in individual dishes as is customary, or I put it direct onto a plate.
Mix some tomato sauce with some mayonnaise - you will need to taste this to get the quantities right but about a quarter tomato sauce to mayonnaise.
Add the Worcestershire and Tabasco sauces, also to your taste, and mix in.
Slice the rock-melon into strips.
Lay the rock-melon on the plate, add the prawns and put the dip in the middle of the plate.
Alternatively, put some of the mayo mixture in a bowl, add the prawns and put some slices of rock-melon around the edges.
Either way, this is a delicious combination, a great entree, though I ate it as a meal on a hot day.
