Easy Rice Rolls

Rice rolls are a popular snack dish in Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. They are normally eaten for breakfast but this dish can be eaten at any time of day.



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 2 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
500g packet rice rolls
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon fried shallot
1 teaspoon roasted sesame seeds

Method
  • Cut the rice rolls to 1 cm pieces.
  • Steam in a microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  • Combine the soy sauce with sesame oil then pour over the hot steaming rice rolls.
  • Sprinkle the fried shallot and roasted sesame seeds.
  • Serve immediately.
