Egg Custard

This is one of my favourite recipes to satisfy my dessert cravings. It's simple, quick and is sure to be a party pleaser. Serve in large or small quantities after the main course to leave the table with a happy tummy!

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Makes: 8 servings

1 egg
200 ml fresh milk
200 ml evaporated milk
120 gm condensed milk
1 tablespoon dessicated coconut
Powdered cardamom (optional)
Saffron threads (optional)
Crushed or finely cut nuts--almonds and pistachios (for topping)

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.

In a large bowl, place all the ingredients (except the nuts).

Blend all these ingredients well using a blender.

Once the ingredients are blended well to form a smooth consistency, pour the mixture into a square, oven-proof dish.

Sprinkle the nuts on top of the custard mixture in the dish.

Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or till the custard looks set.

Remove the custard dish from the oven and put in the fridge to cool down.

Serve cold and enjoy!
