Poached plums is a simple meal that has been cooked for centuries. It is healthy, delicious, easy to make, and can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or pudding.



I've given the recipe a bit of a fiery kick by poaching them in Rochester Non-Alcoholic Ginger Wine ; you can use any type you like though. I used quite a lot, but if you prefer less liquid, simply reduce the amount.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Makes: 5 servings

Ingredients
10 plums
600ml Rochester Non-Alcoholic Ginger Wine

Method



  • Stone and halve the plums.



  • Simmer the plums in the ginger wine until the juice has reduced, turned red, and the plums are soft.
