On a hot Summer's day there's nothing more refreshing than a nice cold ice block. Forget the cordial and whip up some of these fruity strawberry ice pops instead.
We've made these in a
Zoku Quick Pop Maker (which you can
buy online), but you can also use any regular ice block maker.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: Freezing times vary
Makes: About 9 ice pops
Ingredients
500g Strawberries
1 Cup Water
6 Tbsp of Sugar
Method
Wash strawberries, cut off tops, and then halve.
Add all ingredients together. Adjust the amount of sugar according to your tastes.
Blitz ingredients until they are smooth and combined. You can use a stick mixer or a blender.
Straining the mixture is optional, and more important for fruits like raspberries which have more noticeable seeds.
Pour your mixture into the ice block moulds.
If you're using a Zoku quick pop maker you'll need to do the ice pops in about 3 batches. Each will take roughly 10 minutes to freeze. For a regular ice block maker, just pop them in the freezer till they're solid and come out loosely.
Once they're ready, take them out and enjoy them fresh.
