Garlic Ginger Steamed Prawns Squid
This is a quick simple steamed dish of prawns and squid that is full of garlic and ginger flavour.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 4 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients
300g prawns, peeled, deveined, tail on
2 squid tubes, cut into small pieces and scored
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon chinese cooking wine
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon chopped ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 stalks scallions, thinly sliced
Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
Steamed vegetables, to serve
Method
Fill a steamer pot with water. Bring to the boil.
In a bowl, marinate the prawns and squids with oyster sauce, sesame oil, cooking wine, fish sauce and ginger for 5 minutes.
Transfer to a dish that fits in the steamer. Sprinkle the minced garlic and chopped scallions.
Steam for 4 minutes.
Serve immediately with steamed rice and vegetables.
