Garlic Prawns
Perfect recipe for BBQ or pan fry. Eat them by themselves or in a salad. This recipe outlines how to pan fry frozen prawns.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 6 minutes approximately
Makes: 2 small servings
Ingredients
100 grams Vannamei prawns (
fresh or frozen)
3 teaspoons butter
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Method
Add the prawns to a fry pan on high heat.
Add the butter and let it melt.
Add the garlic and stir through the prawns.
Make sure the prawns are only a single layer in the pan.
Once the whole prawn has turned from the grey colour to orange, they are ready. If the prawns have the tails left on, these will go orange before the rest of the prawn as in the picture above.
Turn the heat in the pan to low and sprinkle the prawns with paprika.
Stir the prawns to ensure they are all coated with the paprika and cook for 1 minute.
Serve warm by themselves or tossed through a garden salad.
For an easier way to cook them on the BBQ, or in the pan add the prawns to a skewer and follow the above steps.
