An American favourite the sloppy joe. I remember seeing it on an Adam Sandler movie for the first time many years ago, and today wondering what I could make with my beef mince, I came up with my own version. Using what I had on hand. Hope you like it this way.

My Sloppy Joe

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Makes: 3

250 grams beef mince
1/2 cup grated tasty cheese
1 cup of tomato pasta sauce (I used tomato and red wine sauce)
1 packet of gluten free long bread rolls
2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
In a large fry pan add oil and heat on high.
Add beef mince and cook until browned.

Turn off the heat and add in pasta sauce. Mix well and set aside.
If your bread rolls are frozen, defrost for around 20 seconds to make it easier to cut them.
Cut a slit down the middle of your bread rolls and gently open up the middle to make room for the mince.
Spoon in the mince and top each one with grated cheese.

Place on a baking tray and bake for 5 minutes.
Bake for an extra 1-2 minutes if your bread rolls are frozen.
Take out of the oven and serve immediately.
