Gobi Aloo

Ihave had many different varieties of Gobi aloo. I like this most.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Makes: 2 servings

Ingredients
600 g(1 lb 4 oz) cauliflower florets, plus about 150 g (5 oz) stalks and leaves, chopped
1 boil potato peeled and chopped
1 onion finely chopped
1 tomato chopped
1/3 cumin seeds
Pinch of asafoetida
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/3 tsp garam masala
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp butter
Salt as per taste


Method
● Pour the oil and butter into a pan and heat it.

●Add cumin seeds, pinch of asafoetida, ginger-garlic paste, onion stirring, until golden brown and add tomatoes.





●Add cauliflower and potatoes and mix well.








●Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and gram masala and mix well.





●Cover and cook gently for 10 minutes in low flame.





●Add a little more water if necessary and stir from time to time.

●Serve hot with chapattis and steam rice.
