Healthy Beef Stirfry
Stir fry dishes are healthy to begin with. However, sometimes, it can be easily forgotten to add a decent portion of veggies to balance out the nutrition component of the dinner dish.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 30-45 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients
700g beef chunks
1/2 red onion
1 small red capsicum
2 large mushrooms
1 floret broccoli
Masterfoods Teriyaki Marinade
Salt and pepper to taste
Method
Chop the onions into small, fine pieces.
Cut the capsicum into little rings, and then halve them further to make little pieces.
Slice the mushrooms finely into thin pieces.
Cut strips of beef lengthways and add to a saucepan with oil. Cook the beef till it goes brown.
While the beef is cooking in the saucepan, steam the broccoli by placing it in a steamer. Steam the broccoli for about 5-10 minutes.
Once the beef has cooked through, drain out any excess water that may be present.
Add the mushrooms, capsicum, onions, and broccoli into the beef mixture.
Mix the ingredients well, followed by adding the Masterfoods Teriyaki Marinade into the saucepan.
Mix the stir fry ingredients well and let it sit (untouched) for about 10-15 minutes.
While the stir fry is cooking, immerse a packet of Hokkein noodles into a shallow bowl of hot/boiling water. Leave it to cook for about 1-2 minutes.
Drain out the noodles and then add them to the stir fry.
Serve hot with a pinch of salt and pepper.
