Being baked instead of fried and with no need for oil, these onion bhajis are a healthy version of one of the most popular Indian takeaway snacks.

Ingredients
1 onion
1 egg
½ tsp turmeric
¼ tsp cumin seeds
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp chilli powder
20g plain flour
Method
Pre-heat the oven to 200 ༠C/ 180 ༠C fan/400 ༠F/6 Gas.
Slice the onion thinly using mandolin.
Mix with the flour and spices.
Beat an egg with a fork and then mix in.
Divide the mixture into six and flatten into fritters.
Bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
