A delicious crispy fragrant deep-fried pork meatballs that is easy to make and great for a snack or to be served with steamed rice and noodle soup.

Makes: 40 balls
Ingredients
800g pork mince
150g Spanish mackerel, deboned
1 carrot, peeled
2 onions, peeled
225g can water chestnuts
Seasonings
2 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
2 tbsp tapioca flour
2 tbsp water
a dash of white pepper powder
Method
Combine all the ingredients in a food processor, pulse until well combined and mixture is sticky.
Roll the mixture into balls.
Heat oil in a deep fryer, deep fry the meat balls in batches until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve warm as a snack or with steamed rice or noodle soup.
