Homemade chocolate

This chocolate contains only four ingredients so it's super simple. Using locally sourced honey, and all organic ingredients it's healthier than the store bought stuff. It's also quick to make so you will be enjoying it in no time.

Homemade Chocolate with Cashews

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes
Makes: 6-8 pieces

1/4 cup raw cacao
1/4 cup coconut oil
2 tablespoons of cashews
2 teaspoons of local raw honey
(Use organic where possible)

Roughly chop the cashews and set aside for later.

If it is colder weather and the coconut oil has solidified, heat a small saucepan to melt the coconut oil.
Once coconut oil is melted transfer to a bowl with the raw cacao and the honey.
Mix well until all really well combined. This is important because the chocolate will not work if the honey and coconut oil separate.
Line a rectangle cake tin with some baking paper and pour in the mixture, spreading out evenly.
Sprinkle in the nuts, and any other flavours you want to add to this go in now as well.
Note you can also use silicon chocolate moulds instead.

Set in the fridge for 10-15 minutes until it's rock hard.
Alternatively you can set it in the freezer if you want it to set quicker.

Take out when it's fully set and cut into pieces. Roughly chopped is fine.
Place on a plate and cover it with cling wrap or in a container and straight back into the fridge.

This chocolate is best to be eaten as soon as you remove a piece from the fridge. I had a small piece on a plate and it just melted completely with in 10 minutes.
This chocolate is very rich so it's best to have nuts or other toppings in it.
Some other topping ideas you could use are-
-goji berries
-hazelnuts or any other nuts you like
-mixed dried fruits
-dried cranberries

Chocolates made in a silicon mould look good too. the silicon moulds made it easy to remove them
