These quick and healthy sticky fingers can be prepared days ahead and stored in jars for mid-morning or mid-afternoon snacks. With kids around, they do not last long though.

Makes: 12 servings
Ingredients
3/4 cup self-raising flour
1/4 level tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 level tsp cinnamon powder
75 g raw sugar
1 cup coconut
100 g butter
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup raisins
Method
Preheat oven at 150 degrees C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.

Meanwhile, heat butter and honey in a saucepan and add to the dry ingredients.

When done take out and cut into neat finger shapes whilst hot.

Allow to cool in fridge for 15 minutes before serving.
Dried fruits, orange peels or diced apples may also be added for a fruity flavour.
