Jalapenos and Cheese Samosa

I truely love the combination of cheese and jalapenos and this recipe is one of my top favourite these days.


Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 12

Ingredients
500 gm boneless chicken chunks
1 chopped onion
4 tablespoon chopped jalapeños (I used the ones that comes in bottles soaked in vinegar, you can also use jalapeño sauce)
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
2 chopped green chillies
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
2 tablespoon oil
salt to taste
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
200 grams cream cheese
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Samosa leaves, as many as required (depends on the amount of mixture you stuff into the samosa)
Oil for frying

For coating
2 eggs
Bread crumbs


Method
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add onion and fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add chicken chunks and ginger garlic paste and fry for 4-5 minutes.
  • When the chicken starts changing colour add green and red bell pepper, jalapeños, cumin powder, black pepper powder, green chillies and salt.
  • Fry for few minutes and then add cream cheese.
  • Mix everything properly then turn the flame off.
  • Let the mixture cool down a bit.
  • Add grated cheddar cheese.
  • Take samosa leaves and using the chicken mixture as filling, fold the samosas.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  • Beat two eggs in a bowl.
  • Dip samosas in beaten eggs and finally roll them into bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry on medium heat till they turn golden.
  • Serve hot with ketchup.
