I had to try these a few times before they worked out, and the secret is possibly in the drying of the kale leaves. Without drying properly I think they do not get crisp.
They are a low fat snack, great for anytime, and as I am growing mini kale in my garden, I have heaps to make it over and over!
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 to 25 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
Kale -about ½ bunch
About ½ tbsp olive oil
Method
Remove the thick stems from the kale, and tear into pieces.
Wash the kale and put in a salad spinner, or dry with a paper towel and let stand to dry completely.

Kale dried and torn into pieces
Rub the oil onto the leaves - do not drench them but just a light coating.
Put in a single layer on a baking tray and bake in a low oven (150°/130° fan forced) for about 20 to 25 minutes.

Single layer of kale
Leave them on the tray for a few minutes and they will crisp up slightly more when cool.
Eat as a low calorie snack at any time.
