Magic Four Bean Chocolate Cake

I am 14 years old. I have always made my recipes from scratch and have never used a packet mix.

This delicious gluten free chocolate cake is very moist and easy to make. It is healthy, high in protein and nut free. It took me a while to try this recipe as I did not like the idea of a bean cake but you cannot taste the beans and it is now one of my favorites.

Preparation Time: 15-20
Cooking Time: 35-45m
Makes: 1

420g tin four bean mix (or kidney beans)
1tsp water
70g cocoa powder
1tsp baking powder (gluten free if preferred)
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp salt
125g butter
5 eggs
180g sugar

Preheat oven to 180c.
Line and grease a 22cm cake tin.

First puree 1 egg, beans and vanilla (set aside).

Beat remaining eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.

Then add bean mix plus sifted dry ingredients until combined.

Pour mix into cake tin.
Bake in oven for 35-45minutes until inserted skewer comes out clean.

do you use the water in the beans or just the beans
