Make Ahead Bircher Museli

I have been making this Bircher muesli for many years now and have never had a visitor who did not rave about it.

Simple to make, you make it the night before, so no work at breakfast time!

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes plus overnight standing
Serves: 2 - 3

Ingredients
1 cup natural yogurt
1 cup rolled oats
½ - ¾ cup milk
1 tsp sugar
¼ lemon juice
1 apple, chopped
1 banana
½ orange
Some grapes, strawberries or any other fruit such as pears, pineapple blueberries, raspberry or kiwi

Method
  • Mix the yogurt, rolled oats, milk, sugar and lemon juice.

  • Stir this thoroughly and then add the apple - you could also grate the apple, orange, and other fruit.


  • Cover and store overnight in the fridge.

  • About 30 minutes before you want to eat it, take it out of the fridge, and you will probably need to add a bit more milk as mine is always too thick.

  • Add bananas and you can also add some nuts and raisins if you like.
