Microwave Steamed Rice
The easiest way to cook rice that I've found without using a rice cooker.
Preparation Time: 1 minute
Cooking Time: 12 minutes
Makes: 2 servings
Ingredients
1 cup jasmine rice
2 1/4 cups boiling water
Method
Place the rice into a 2.5 litre microwave dish that has a lid.
Pour the boiling water over the rice.
Place in the microwave and cook, covered for 12 minutes.
When the time is up, quickly check all the water has evaporated. if yes then replace cover. If there is still a little water cook for another minute.
When you're ready to serve run a fork through the rice, place on a plate.
