Mild Butter Chicken Curry
A mild chicken dish that melts in your mouth.
This is a really easy chicken curry dish that is perfect for when you are in a hurry. I use curry paste which has all the spices in it for butter chicken, but you can of course substitute the paste for real spices. I also use yoghurt rather than cream because it gives the dish a zesty flavour.
This dish is perfect for the whole family because it is mild and tasty. I use chicken thighs rather than breast because it makes the dish more tender.
Enjoy with plain rice or a lemon rice recipe. Use your favourite naan bread or roti as a dipping bread.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Makes: 5 servings
Ingredients
1kg of chicken thighs
3 tablespoons butter chicken paste
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 cup of yoghurt or cream
Rice
Method
Dice the chicken up into cubes.
Fry the onion and garlic up on oil.
Add the chicken to the pan and cook until the chicken has changed colour.
Add the butter chicken paste. (You can find the paste in all good Asian and Indian specialty stores)
Add the yoghurt or cream and stir together
Serve up on a bed of rice.
