Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Serves: 1
Ingredients
2 large frozen bananas
1/2 cup Chocolate Almond Milk (or Plain)
1 scoop your favorite protein powder (I used chocolate)
1 tsp instant coffee
2 tsp raw cacao
1 cup spinach (optional)
A few ice cubes
Topping
1 tbsp PB2 powder
3 tbsp water
1 chocolate [linkhttp://recipeyum.com.au/ferrero-rocher-cacao-balls/ bliss ball]
Method
Make up your PB2, I did a ratio of 3:1 with water to ensure the mixture was nice and runny so I could drizzle it on top of my bowl. If you don't have PB2 pop a tablespoon of nut butter in the microwave for a few seconds until it is runny. Set aside.
PB2 is peanuts that have had all the oil squished out of them leaving a lowfat highprotein powder
In a blender place the spinach (if using) and blend until smooth. This way there will be no chunks of green.
Add the remaining bowl ingredients and blend until you have a smooth consistency. You want it rather thick so the toppings don't sink.
Pour into a bowl and top with a crushed bliss ball, drizzle with the PB2 mixture and enjoy in the garden.
Other great toppings are nutbutter, toasted almonds, chia seeds, granola, fresh fruit, choc chips, syrup or coconut flakes.
